Gender Equality Strategy 2030
The aim of the Gender Equality Strategy is to ensure that women and men are equal in economic, family and social life. They should enjoy the same level of social security throughout their lives and the freedom of a respectful environment without discrimination and violence.
The Gender Equality Strategy 2030 was adopted by the Federal Council in 2021. All departments and various cantons and communes are involved in implementing the strategy, which is set out in an action plan that is updated twice a year. All information about the strategy, including the status of implementation of all measures, can be found on the Gender Equality Strategy website:

Who is involved in implementation?
At the level of the Confederation, the Federal Council, the federal departments and their offices, as well as the Federal Chancellery are responsible for implementation.
Implementation is monitored by the Federal Office for Gender Equality (FOGE), which chairs an interdepartmental committee to ensure that the strategy is incorporated in the Federal Administration. More about the cooperation within the Federal administration.
Various cantons, cities and communes are also implementing measures for equality as part of the action plan for the Gender Equality Strategy.
